چکیده: وسایل کمک آموزشی عامل افزایش بازده آموزشی از لحاظ کمی وکیفی است ونیز این گونه وسایل عامل عینیت بخشیدن به محتوای دروس می باشد (ادگاردیل ، 1969 ، به نقل از احدیان ، 1364) . فردانش (1373) وکنعانی (1371) دو تن از صاحب نظرانی هستند که اعتقاد دارند این گونه وسایل عامل تسهیل کننده یادگیری است .استانلی ال . هاکسون (1987) عقیده دارد : تدریس مبتنی بر حل مساله نه فقط اطلاعات دانش آموزان را در دروس علوم افزایش می دهد ، بلکه مهارتهای تصمیم گیری وتفکر را نیز در آنان تقویت می کند .روبرت ال . هارتشون ورامونا . نکسون (1990) طی تحقیقاتی در سالهای 1987 تا 1989 به این نتیجه رسیدند که معلمین نیز طرفدار استفاده از روشهای فعال در تدریس علوم هستند ومعتقدند این روشها پیشرفت تحصیلی دانش آموزان را ارتقاء می دهد .با تاکید پژوهش گران بر روش حل مسئله در تدریس علوم تجربی ، استفاده از امکانات ومواد و وسائل کمک آموزشی ، ناگزیر خواهد شد و نقش وجایگاه این گونه وسایل در آموزش بیش از بیش احساس می شود .
